Message	In order for your rates to go up the insurance company has to actually check your driving record or you make a claim (at which point they will most likely check your record). If you take the driver improvement class, however, in most states insurance companies can not raise your rates if they find a ticket on your record. But the state has to have proof that you took the improvement course.
